OVERVIEW
Companies of all sizes and across various industries rely on backup care to reduce employee stress and unscheduled absenteeism. Nearly two of three HR professionals indicate that unscheduled absenteeism is a problem for their organization, according to a June 2007 SHRM survey. The rate of unscheduled absences is at its highest point since 1999 with 24 percent of unscheduled absences attributed to family issues, based on a study released in 2006 by CCH. To combat these issues in the workplace, a growing number of businesses offer backup care to provide employees with trusted, temporary care for a variety of situations; this solution enables employees to remain productive at work and balance their family caregiving concerns.

Learn more about the business case for backup care:
• Reduce absenteeism among employees with caregiving concerns
• Boost productivity throughout the entire workforce
• Recruit and retain top talent by offering a proven work/life solution
