Tim Callaway, CESP
Benefits Coordinator
Tim Callaway has worked at the Las Vegas Convention and
Visitors Authority (LVCVA) for seven years. He is
primarily responsible for employee health benefits,
workers’ compensation, educational assistance, and
Family Medical Leave administration. His additional
employee services responsibilities include employee
discount programs and wellness.
Tim has been an ESM Association member for eight years
and he has attended six of ESM Association’s Annual
Conferences & Exhibits, where he chaired various
educational sessions and delivered presentations on
“Website Design for the Technically
Challenged,” “Maximize Your Membership”
and “What Happens Here—Is Appreciated and
Rewarded.”
Tim has held many leadership positions at the local and
national levels. For three years, including 2006, he
served as Organizational Director of the Southern Nevada Chapter. In the
past, he has served as President-Elect, 2002-2003 Chapter
President and Past President. In 2004, The Southern
Nevada Chapter received the Leonard R. Brice Chapter
Merit Award.
For the past three years, Tim has been a Director on ESM
Association’s National Board of Directors. As a
member of the Certification Committee, he helped revamp
the program and promote it to members.
Tim truly enjoys the camaraderie of being an ESM
Association member. “For all the professional
resources ESM offers, it’s the members of the
organization I appreciate most. Through ESM, not only
have I made excellent business contacts, but I’ve
also made longtime friends. There’s a friendliness
and approachability of ESM members that you don’t
find in other business organizations,” he explains.
In 2006, the LVCVA’s President & CEO Rossi
Ralenkotter earned ESM Association’s Employer of the
Year Award. “Regularly attending the Annual
Conferences, and especially participating in them as a
speaker or award recipient, has garnered recognition for
myself and for my employer. The LVCVA appreciates the
high-profile presence we have at each Annual Conference.
In turn, I think it’s important for conference
attendees to see that ESM really matters to the LVCVA and
other companies that actively participate in the
organization. It gives credibility to me as an employee
services professional and to my employer for being an
employer of choice,” he says.
