Perspective: The Certification Experience
"I am a volunteer Employee Activities
Committee Chairperson and the decision to apply for the
CESP designation was a personal one. At the time of my
application, there were only 2 people in Michigan with
this and I thought it would be pretty cool to be in that
elite group. After answering the exam questions, I
realized we had a very solid program ourselves. I was
proud of all that we did (and still do!) for our
employees. Now maintaining this designation gives me and
our volunteer program validity with our management team
and with other hospitals in the area."
